Everytime I try and sign on, using both Safari and Chrome, "(Error TVAPP-00170)" pops up. Regular TV services working fine but cant sign on to stream from my computer.

Thank you to hellaje for your post/Same issue contacted Xfinity via chat two very professional reps helped out one initially and she elevated it to Tier 2 Technical team. They did an account refresh and Stream was up and working. Both very polite and professional.

Call Comcast technical support. Ask to speak to Comcast Advanced Repair. Tell them your error number is TVAPP-00170, and that they need to log out all streaming devices on their end. This is not something you can do on your end.
I've been having the same issue for over 6 weeks & can't get any body to call me back. I know what the issue is now, but no one from the Advanced Team will call me back. they generated a ticket on Fri., Aug. 13th & said that the team would call me back in 24 to 72 hrs. I waited & called on Mon., Aug. 16th & now they say the ticket has been closed out!!!! Needless to say I'm still can't log into my Streaming!!
I'm getting "Error TVAPP-00170" for close to 6 weeks now. it was fixed on Aug. 5th for 1 week and now it's locked me out again. I have been trying to get someone to call me from the Advanced Care division. Xfinity has given me 2 tickets numbers & a promise that someone from Tier 3 will call me in 24-72 hrs. No one calls me, & when I call back, my tickets are closed before the problem is fixed.
