Error player.-9002.14007

All of a sudden I cannot stream using my Chrome browser.  I keep getting this message:  Error player.-9002.14007.

I can stream fine using MS Edge, but would prefer to use Chrome.  I have alwasy used Chrome with no issues.

Chrome updated to Version 95.0.4638.54 (Official Build) (64-bit) on PC.   (Yesterday?  Today is 10/20)

I was streaming xfinity.com this morning, noticed the update, cleared my cache, updated, logged back in and now it's that error 9002.14007 on all channels.

I can get into the streaming menu of channels, but nothing works now, not live TV, not on demand, nothing.  Same error all the sudden, never before.

That tells me Chrome broke something in HDCP or some handling issue with the update?  Or some combination of errors on both sides?

Hi, @user_f38562! Thanks for contacting XFINITY over our forums page and for patiently waiting for a response. I am sorry to learn about this experience with trying to stream using the Chrome browser. I prefer to use Chrome too so I understand the inconvenience that this can cause. We can help. Would you mind confirming if you have tried clearing cache and cookies along with restarting your computer?

I did clear the history and cache a couple days ago and no luck. However, today I tried using Chrome and it worked. As posted above, apparently Chrome had an update which caused it not to work. My guess is that they have fixed whatever it was they did

Thanks for confirming this for us. I am happy to hear that it worked using Chrome today! Any plans for the weekend? While I have you, how are the rest of the services working for you? Noticing any additional issues? Are you comfortable with your current channel lineup and internet speed levels?

Same experience, it worked later on in the day after the update, but right away it was throwing that error.

I constantly clear my cookies and cache every time so I knew that wasn't the issue or related to the error.

I assume Comcast changed something because Chrome did not again update, it just started working again.

Which is fine by me.
