Encountering TVAPP-00209 on Xfinity Stream app

This began on Sunday Oct 11 around 10:00 am CDT.  I get the error code when trying to launch a TV program from the Stream portal (xfinity.com/stream).  I get the error message when trying to launch a TV prog from the Live TV menu option.  I also get a TVAPP-00309 code if I try to launch a tv prog saved on the dvr.  I am able to launch older progs that have been saved (some prior to 10-11-26, but not all).

The device I used is an HP Chrome book (Chrome OS), but I have also tried on Two HP Windows Devices (Windows 11), along with two samsung android phones, all to no avail.  I have switched networks, cleared cache, cookies, and browsing history, multiple reboots, cold boots, and all the standard debugging procedures I can think of.  I see from this forum, that others are experiencing the same problem.   Please let me know if I can provide any additional information.  Thanks

There are many having the same issue.  I stated having the issue in early October.  I have had a senior technician visit, and multiple tickets open with advanced system support.  No one at xfinity seems to be able to identify what is causing the issue, which is affecting people nationwide. The error code TVAPP-00209 states that "Something has gone wrong while trying to talk to our content access management system. Please try again."  Of course, trying again does not fix it.  The problem exists withing their system.  When you click in a broadcast channel, the app checks with the content access management system to verify that the channel you are trying to watch is part of your channel lineup and that you are located in your home area.  That confirmation is not occurring.  Until xfinity can determine what is causing the failure, nothing will get fixed.  I have spent hours on the phone, and even more hours online with support, advanced support, etc, all to no avail.  The last communication I  had from them was to wait a couple of weeks and see if it gets fixed. I do not think that this problem is being treated seriously enough.  It needs to be fixed.

This morning, while I was out of my house, I received a robocall from Xfinity.  It stated that the issue with my TV has been resolved.  When I got home, I deleted the xfinity stream app from my ipad, rebooted the ipad, reinstalled the stream app, logged in, and happily it now appears to be working.  I am very curious as to what the issue was, and what was done to correct the issue.  After two weeks of technician visits, a hundred restarts of gateway and cable box, uninstalling the app and reinstalling the app literally dozens of times, and hours online and on the phone with support, advanced support, etc, I think I should be told what the issue was and how it was fixed...small compensation for all the time, energy and frustration the last two weeks have given me over this matter. I will not mark any answer as the right answer, because I do not know what the right answer is unless someone on your end can update this thread and post how the issue was fixed.
