Emergency Alerts should not play while watching a recording of a show from the PC website

I am NOT watching live TV, so the EAS alerts should not be interrupting my viewing of a PREVIOUSLY RECORDED program from a PC website.  Comcast is bound by regulations to interrupt live TV, but watching a recording from a PC is not "TV" and is not subject to the regulations. How do I know this? Because neither YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, nor Hulu will ever interrupt me when I'm watching a streaming video.  Watching a recorded program is not "broadcast television" and is not subject to the regulations.

Comcast needs to fix their website/app  playback recording to be exempt from EAS interruptions.

Hello, @user_eb611d. I sincerely apologize that these EAS tests alerts have caused you. EAS testing impacts all Xfinity TV and Comcast Business TV service, which includes the Xfinity Stream app, if the customer is using it inside their home at the time of the test.

We don't issue, control or alter the alert messages in any way. We merely pass through messages that federal, state or local authorities choose to send to the public. Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.
