How can i start receiving email as a new member?

If you got Comcast/Xfinity Internet service after June 2024 you probably don't have a Comcast.net email address, since that's when they stopped issuing them. If you supplied an address when you signed up for a Comcast/Xfinity ID, use that. If you didn't supply one at that point, you should add a 3rd party email address to your account profile at https://customer.xfinity.com/settings.

Hello, user_2nscfm! Great question. As @BruceW kindly pointed out, new Xfinity customers are no longer able to create @comcast.net email accounts, as Xfinity discontinued new email account creation in June 2024. However, existing customers can continue using their current @comcast.net addresses and will soon have the opportunity to migrate to a new Yahoo Mail platform to ensure uninterrupted service. Whether you're just joining the Xfinity community or you've been with us for a while, we're truly glad you stopped by the forums.
