Hello @westwayneguy88888 Thanks for reaching out about our Xfinity stream app. At this time it Dolby Digital 5.1 has not been implemented on our Xfinity Stream app yet. I have a link where you can provide your feedback suggestion to request it. This link is a great site for customers to share their input! https://comca.st/3czrDid.

Is there any chance you're using the Xfinity Stream app on your phone and using Chromecast to your TV and AV receiver?

What's ridiculous is that in the beginning, you actually did have DD in its original format within the app (first gen of the beta on a Roku box).  On top of that, you have the tech and the pipeline in place to handle this...meaning, it comes in to you all in a Dolby-E stream most likely and you all are decoding and then re-encoding/transcoding into the streaming pipeline from the individual feeds that makeup what is sent to the STB market and older CableCard devices that get H264/MPEG-2[now-depreciated] Transport Streams.  Above all, it's blatantly obvious when a commercial break happens and dialogue goes from phantom center (or center channel in an up-mixed end environment) to panned hard left, which points to an issue with the channel order being screwed up and/or improper decode/transcode settings within that pipeline.  There's no excuse, when even YouTubeTV can do 5.1 on local channels and you all can't be bothered to offer that...but can charge us for the cost to re-broadcast OTA channels we could get for free with an antenna and can't access them outside of our house in the app.

It is absolutely absurb that xfinity stream doesn't support Dolby Digital 5.1 at the least much less Dolby Atmos. Dolby Digital 5.1 has been available since the early 1990's. Those of us that have home theater systems are paying a high price for poor audio. It's no wonder Xfinity is losing customers left and right. Most other streaming apps have minimum Dolby Digital 5.1 if not Atmos. This is unacceptable Xfinity. I've been a customer since 2005 with TV, internet, mobile and security but that's about to end unless your stream service updates to decades old audio. Like I said - it's absurb!!
