Closed Captioning default setting on Xfinity Stream on LG TV

I use the Xfinity Stream app on my LG TV. Every time I change the channel it default to closed captioning ON. How can I change it to default to OFF? Turning it off EVERY SINGLE TIME is maddening, and I don't see any way to fix it.

So.  The official employee says message us privately.   Then posts a generic message about posting publicly so that others can benefit from the post.  Which is it?  Private or public?    What’s the solution to the cc defaulting to on for app on LG TVs?

@user_n9vyke Typically we try to assist as much as possible in public to share information across the community with this issue however our engineers are aware of the issues and are working with LG and Samsung on a resolution for this issue. At this time there is not an estimated time for a resolution, but we assure you this is a known issue and a resolution is in the works. Since this is a known issue without any work around at this time there would be no additional need to reach out in private for this issue.

I am an Official Xfinity Employee.
