Can’t view attachments

I can’t view attachments, only download them. I see many others are having the same problem.
Why?  And what is being done to remedy it?

Hello user_qf4030 thanks so much for taking the time to reach out here via our Xfinity Forums! When viewing your Xfinity email, are you accessing the information via 3rd party server(Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail) or directly via the Xfinity Email Portal

Via Xfinity email portal.  Never used to do this.  Why is this happening now?

What can be done to correct it?

Hello @user_qf4030, This is a known issue, and our engineers are actively working on a fix. While we don’t have an estimated resolution time yet, they’ve shared a temporary workaround: selecting ‘Download’ to view the content.
