Cannot fastforward a DVR recording while it is still recording.
First, let me say that this feature used to work. Second, I have seen many posts about this issue in your Forum, but no solution has been provided.
While a program is being recorded on the XFINITY STREAMING App on my LG TV, I cannot fast forward the program. I have to wait until the program finishes in order to be able to fast forward. I tried refreshing the APP, hard reset to the TV, OS Upgrade to my LG TV, and still this feature has stopped working about a month or so ago.
It is Football season, and I love to watch a game or multiple games that are being recorded, when I catch up, I switch to another recording.
Please let me know if a) That you are aware of the problem, and b) That you are going to provide a resolution in a short time frame. If not, I will need to pursue an alternative solution, as this is not the XFINITY that I signed up for.

a) they know about the "live-recording-playback-control" problem since at least August, on all different devices. they have been spot fixing each device type and brand, rather than *undoing* whatever they changed to create this frustrating problem in the first place.
b) you will have to DM them your account info for a specific fix for your tv model, xfinity app version, vehicle brand and model, couch brand and style (reclining options or not), and favorite coffee order.
c) they do not care if you leave. they are rolling the dice that you don't. (although the recent quarterly report on customer retention shows that is not a smart gamble for them and is the beginning of the end imo) i think they care more about third party background website tracking data revenue than your monthly service/contract fee.
sorry, but after a month here on this problem, that is my (jaded) opinion of this issue. best of luck to you. we all deserve much better. we all deserve what we pay for, in our contract with comcast/xfinity. we all deserve reliable/dependable service, and to not be treated like code guinea pigs.
