cannot activate Peacock promotion

Today, I entered into a new (5-Year Price Guarantee) contract with Xfinity.  Included with this plan is a 2-year FREE subscription to Peacock Streaming.  I am unable to activate this service.  I navigated to the proper screen via an email that was sent to me however, it seems to be caught in a wait loop, and nothing happens.  On screen I see a message that advises me to wait.  I've waited long enough.

I had the exact same problem, been on the phone for hours, troubleshooting with chat agent and real agent, went in person to the  Xfinity store, nothing. No help, people pointing at other people saying they can fix it. I’m sick and tired of trying to fix this issue.

Thank you for reaching out here. There was a known issue with that https://www.xfinity.com/activate-peacock link to activate that free subscription. If you are still not able to get that activated we can look further into that from here for you.

****** PROBLEM SOLVED *******

My problem was escalated to a Comcast Specialist Team and a solution was finally found today, and it revolved around billing. 

A Billing Code is needed for Peacock Premium to be enabled on a person's account.  Normally, a subscriber would create an account, and then sign up for (or enable) the service by submitting credit card information in the billing prompt.  Since the service is being offered by Xfinity (as a promotion), a special code is needed to allow the customer to bypass the need to pay. (as normal) 

Without that code, the system will not recognize the account activation. 

Many thanks to this Xfinity team for working directly with both the network and billing departments to successfully resolve this issue.

I have the same problem. Xfinity escalated my issue and they still can’t figure it out.


It seems like they don’t share access to the same support documentation, because each rep has no knowledge of my account plan and provides different solutions. It would be better if they didn’t charge us for peacock and just let us register separately.

Having the same issue.  I had peacock. It now that I have changed plans It’s showing to select a plan but Xfinity shows it’s active and I’m getting nowhere!

I cannot access Peacock, which is included on my Xfinity plan.  I have spent a lot of time on the phone with customer support, until it became clear that she was unable to help.  When I go to the comcasttv.com/activate-peacock, it asks for my xfinity email and then says if I don't have a Peacock account I'll be prompted to create one.  But the next screen just offers me plans I have to pay for.  Is there any way to talk to someone from Xfinity who actually knows how to do this?
