Hello, @user_w7o2ln

Sorry to hear you are experiencing buffering issues on Xfinity Stream when watching TV or streaming music. What device do you have the Xfinity Stream app downloaded to where you have this issue? Have you run a speed test through the Xfinity App or https://speedtest.xfinity.com/? I also recommend checking any physical connections in your home that may cause an issue. Make sure there are no loose connections or damaged cables.

I like my TV to buffer so that when I wake up I can turn on the TV and go back to beginning of news program I was on when I shut the TV off.

After four calls to Xfinity along with troubleshooting. I find out that the Main Box that I had to return to Xfinity store for replacement (because it started having issues), was a different model then the one traded in.

This is when the buffering issue started, so I called for a technician to come out "at my cost" to figure out the problem. Then, behold, I get a call the day before the appointment, and they tell me I have the wrong box. Only the "Preferrable" box will buffer. Now I have to go back again to the store to replace the box AGAIN.

Answer:  If you want buffering - make sure you get the "Preferable Box".  If you don't want buffering - make sure you "don't" get the preferrable box.
