Hello lesaparker. I can help further troubleshoot your audio issue. It would help isolate your issue if you can provide a response to Rustyben's questions. We're here to help you.
I am also having issues with my laptop's audio when Live TV streaming with Xfinity. Every time I try to change to a different channel I lose audio. The initial channel is fine; just going to a different channel makes the audio disappear. I have to log out and log back in to get the audio on the channel I'm switching to. Please help! Thank you!

I seem to be experiencing the same or similar issue. This is detail on what led to my problem:
The audio worked fine until I added a new profile to my Edge Chromium browser. For some reason, my original profile stopped remembering my Log on status for any site. Kind of annoying since it not only asked for my login credentials every time I went to Xfinity or Netflix, it then had to send a code to my phone to continue. This happened on Chrome as well.
Now my new profile on Edge Chromium remembers my logins but now has the audio issue.
The issue now is when I select any channel on my Xfinity lineup, it comes up with video but NO audio. If I refresh the page while the video is playing, the audio comes back.
Clue: When no audio is heard, the little speaker Icon on the tab is not shown nor does the Windows mixer show the control for the audio for Edge.
Clue #2: Apparently this issue has something to do with the profile I created. I have another windows pc that I sync my Edge settings to. Watching Xfinity on the second PC, it has the same exact audio problem.
Clue #3: While a video is playing on Xfinity with missing audio, I can open another tab and listen to You Tube or an Amazon episode and the sound in those apps works just fine. I can also play my Spotify just fine.
Chrome appears to work okay.
The only thing I can figure is that it has something to do with a profile setting. I don't believe this should be as difficult to solve
Hello, @user_f7faf5. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums with your experience.
Reading over the symptoms you've presented, the fact that Chrome is working just fine is a good indication that this would be more of an issue with the Edge software. While there isn't much we can do when it comes to 3rd party troubleshooting, we do recommend trying to see if there are any available updates to your browser. You can also try uninstalling and re-installing the software to ensure you have the latest version. :)

I am also having the same issue with my laptop's audio when Live TV streaming with Xfinity. Starts out fine but every time I try to change to a different channel I lose audio. The initial channel is fine; just going to a different channel makes the audio disappear. If i hit the refresh button my my browser it reloads the channel and audio comes back after the refresh. This happens in Chrome and MSEdge browsers, I dont see that it is browser dependent, seems the audio portion of the stream stops being recognized. Any help would be appreciated. Really makes using the streaming service annoying and my family is now looking for another way to stream our channels... Seems Hulu TV works great on our equipment with no quirks. Thanks much.
