AppleTV app requires login every time it’s launched
The AppleTV Stream app requires login every single time it’s launched (even if it is just backgrounded temporarily) This has been going on for many months, to the point now that my wife has just stopped using it. It’s getting increasingly difficult to justify keeping anything but the Cable Modem service during our informal quarterly household budget reviews.
Today I promised my oldest daughter that we’d watch the movie ‘Elf’ while her sister was napping. I knew I would need to authenticate through the website, but was prepared. Lo and behold, the /authorize site was down and gave a generic unauthorized access error page after multiple retries. Fortunately I was able to switch into daddy hero-mode and found the DVD squirreled away in a drawer, saving the day.
Are there any plans to fix the mandatory login issue? I’ve never had this issue on any other service and it is maddening, especially since I work in the streaming industry and I’m the 24x7 on-call for all things IT in our household.

Hello @mrvco, thanks for reaching out for help with your streaming app. The stream app authentication is a known issue with Apple TV, and our teams are aware and working with Apple on a fix. While we don't have a time frame for this, rest assure we are looking into it and hope to have this resolved for everyone soon!
Were you able to get though to the verification steps/authorization page?
