The same thing happened on my brand new Samsung smart TV this morning.
I returned my X1 set top box because I didn't need it anymore with the Xfinity Stream app -- before this morning's update anyway.
I can see all my favorites just fine on the Xfinity Stream website and the Xfinity Stream app for Android. Doesn't do TV watching any good, what with over 3K channels!
Why doesn't the information about favorites that Xfinity already has appear on the new Xfinity Stream app for smart TVs???
Please do not suggest a work-around!

And if you want to access your recorded items, you can't get to a list of them. The new app is terrible.

The new app for Samsung definitely needs to be thought through a little better. Not only does it need favorite channels back but also there’s no way to turn off SD channels. So now you not only have to scroll through hundreds of channels because there’s no favorites but just to get to HD channels you have to go through hundreds of SD channels. Ridiculous! Please fix this.
