Android Stream Issues.

Dear Xfinity Customer Support,

I am writing to formally report an ongoing issue with the Xfinity Stream app on my Samsung Galaxy S9 tablet and a Samsung S26 plus cell phone. This problem began a few weeks ago following a recent Android system update, and since then, I have been unable to access or use the streaming app.

I have contacted customer support multiple times and have worked with several representatives to troubleshoot the issue. Despite going through all recommended steps, the problem remains unresolved, and I have not been provided with a clear solution.

Given the length of time this issue has persisted and the inability to use a service I am paying for, I am requesting a credit to my account for the disruption. If this matter cannot be resolved promptly, I will have to consider switching my service to AT&T.

I would appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and a timely resolution.

@user_22ngpc Thanks for adding a post to the forum and sharing your experience with the Stream app. Customers can choose a video service with a cable box, or choose to go without a box and rely on the Xfinity Stream app. When that is chosen, the customer is responsible to secure an approved device that works with the Xfinity Stream app. If there was an issue with the cable box, we could credit its fee considering the time it wasn't available to enjoy. The Xfinity Stream app can be used on various devices in the home, and mobile. From tablets, to smart phones, and they can also cast the content directly to the big screen. That way customers never miss their content. With that availability, there are no credits for not having a preferred device in the home to use the app. On the forum we can help troubleshoot, or provide guidance on what other devices are best to use. If you have no other devices to stream your content, we can help send you a free Xumo box to use, or remove the video service. Count on us to make sure you can enjoy your content on the big screen as intended.
