All of a sudden can't use Fast Forward on Xfinity Stream on recordings

I used to be able to watch any recordings (made either on TV or Stream) on Xfinity Stream and could use fast forward like normal. Now on Stream (it works on my TV) recordings have a red line all the way across the bottom (and the white dot is all the way to the right) and I can play the recording but can't fast forward anymore and if I try to pull the dot from the right to left to see if I can get control again, the program starts over and the Dot goes back to the right. I have worked directly on the phone with Xfinity customer service and have gotten nowhere, at the end of that effort they suggested I exchange the DVR, which I did (and that was painful to get everything up and running again) but it didn't solve the problem. I have tried to using Xfinity Assistant repeatedly and it has been absolutely worthless. I even reached out to Microsoft's AI (Copilot) and they had many suggestions, but nothing worked or made any sense. Any suggestions?

user_j8ddje. Thanks for explaining everything you’ve already tried. You’ve done quite a bit of troubleshooting, including replacing the DVR, and since the recordings can be fast-forwarded normally on the TV, I don’t want to send you through the same steps again. Let’s isolate what’s happening with Xfinity Stream. What device and app/browser are you using when this happens? Does it affect every recording, and if you try the same recording on another Stream-compatible device, does the fast-forward control behave the same way?
