Accidental rental

My soon to be 3 year old got a hold of the remote and accidentally rented a movie. Is there a way to cancel the rental?

In addition to getting the billing corrected, consider setting up a Purchase Pin on each of your cable boxes/DVRs and in the Stream app and the web portal to prevent this from happening in the future.

Hello @user_zlv0dm, and thank you for reaching out to us on the Xfinity Forums! You've come to the right place for help. 😀

If a family member accidentally rented or purchased content through Xfinity On Demand, you may be able to request a credit. To qualify, the content must have been watched for less than 10 minutes, rented or purchased within the last 120 days, have a value of $60 or less, and not have been purchased using a coupon.

You can request a credit by signing in to your account, visiting Billing & Pay, and following the prompts. You can find more details here: Xfinity On Demand Rental/Purchase Credit Information.

Also, we'd like to highlight the helpful information our amazing Expert, @BruceW, shared regarding parental controls and purchase protections to help prevent accidental rentals in the future.

Please let us know if you need any additional assistance. We're always happy to help!👍
