Xfinity streaming App

Why does the Comcast streaming app constantly ask that I re-authorize my tv to use it?   And why when I call Comcast does NO ONE have any idea what I am talking about.  I am about to just ditch the entire thing and go to HULU or something else.  None of the other apps on the tv need to be re-authorized.  After going through that insane telephone response system, asking me constantly to restart my cable when the cable is working fine, I get to someone who has absolutely no idea what I am even talking about.  Great service.
