Xfinity Streaming App on Samsung TV

Getting error codes TVAPP-00209 & TVAPP-00309 trying to play live tv channels or streaming DVRed content on Samsung tv. Previously the app worked well, just became unusable this week. Tried rebooting tv (unplugging), & tried re-installing app — no improvement. Settings set to auto update software. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I started having the same problem a couple days ago on our Samsung TV. Spoke to Comcast support numerous times now over chat and just got off the phone with support. They had me uninstall the app during every consultation and on the most recent call back with a "higher support", they had me reset the TV to factory defaults then reinstall the app. None of this helped and I am still getting the TVAPP-00209 error.

Talking with the one support agent, he said that their was an internal ticket open to address the issue. Hopefully it gets routed to the right person internally who can resolve it. Oh, and I was told that I should wait for another call back, likely tomorrow. Not good.

Same issue. Xfinity Stream app on Roku devices and tablet are dead.  Wasted over an hour troubleshooting with an agent.

I have been on the phone with ever increasing support tiers for several days. Today an engineer admitted its a widespread issue and they don't have a solution so we just have to wait and see if they figure it out.

Same. Have had this sporadically on a Samsung tv that’s a few months old. Seems totally dead for a couple days. Uninstalled, reset connections, etc. Good job, as always, Xfinity.

Hi everyone, we just set up our new Samsung tv yesterday. Same issue here, however we are able to watch xfinity if we access it through the Roku app. Hopefully they'll resolve the issue soon.

Please post any updates, and I'll do the same.

Several more hours of tech support to no avail, now they seem to have changed to story to blame Samsung but nothing definitive. Error 209 is live tv, error 309 is dvr playback, error 409 is on demand. Please as painful as it is call in go through the hold times and troubleshooring be certain you get escalated to the advanced repair dept. where they can open an ticket that will get looked at by an actual engineer so that they are forced to address the problem. Yes this will cost at least an hour or two of you life but if they think its an infrequent problem they won't ever fix it. It also appears comcast not monitoring these forums much anymore so no one in a position to fix a software level issue is ever going to know about this unless we make the problem known.

Same issue for two days. Deleted mine tonight, installed again (not the re-install option..full delete then install) and it’s working again..
