Xfinity streaming app for Shield TV....
A rep from Comcast called me tonight offering me their streaming service
Why does COMCAST insist on treating their customer like this???!!!
I have no desire to watch movies and TV shows on my phone when I have a 50" TV across the room! Jeez!
Where is the APP??????????

@Hank_
Sorry you feel lied to about the Xfinity Stream app. However, Comcast does not hide the devices that they support with the Xfinity Stream app. The full list of supported/unsupported Xfinity Stream app devices can be found here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-tv-app-requirements

Feel lied to? Give me a break.. selling that streaming service!! She told me there was an xfinity streaming app for my Nvidia Shield on the Google Play store ... there isn't and there never has been. The only app on Google Play is for an android phone . I found postings on the community forum dating back to 2017 where people (customers) were told the same ...
Don't give me a link to supported devices ... give it to the Comcast SALES REPS!!

I was also "wrongly informed" today, 5/18/2020, during a call with Comcast to change my service plan, when I was told that the Xfinity application would work on any Android TV. I acted in reliance on this (mis)information. I found out hours later when I couldn't find the app on the playstore, that the application is not supported by Comcast on Android TV.
I don't believe there is any deep techncial reason for this (Android phone "works"; Android TV is much like a large screen phone). But there it is. Disappointed.

Turn any screen into a TV with the Xfinity Stream app––included with your Xfinity service.
You never have to miss must-watch TV. Stream top networks, live sports and news, plus thousands of On Demand shows and movies on any device.
