Xfinity Stream Stopped working on Apple TV

Xfinity Stream app used to work on Apple TV but now it crashes on two Apple TVs immediately after signing in. Works fine on iPhone and iPad. I tried deleted and reloading the app and restarting the Apple TV. I heard I need an account refresh.  Is that so?

I'm having the spinning wheel when I try and go to live TV or any other streaming show - same equipment, did the log out, restarted equipment, then deleted and reinstalled the app - logged back in - spinning wheel again.  Restarted my modem - same issue - but streaming is fine on my iOS phone, iPadOS iPad and my laptop - in the same home, connected to the same wifi.

Same here- app works on iPad but on one TV won’t load. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still just get the 3 dots.

I'm having the same issue - 60614 - did all steps outlined + modem restart.  Works fine on all other Mac devices.

@user_r85iyk Thanks for adding to the thread. Is that number an error code that displays on your Apple TV?

user_uhyfsu Are you running into a specific error code or message when trying to use the app on Apple TV?

I am not getting an error code.  I just get the Xfinity logo and it crashes on both Apple TVs.

user_uhyfsu  Not sure if an account refresh would help given it's working on other apple device, but never hurts to try. We have a few other steps that may help as well. Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" If necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person".

Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

Ha! The Xfinity tech came out to fix it.  He reset the apple tv to factory settings and it communicated properly with the Xfinity app.
