Xfinity stream only showing tv go
Hello, I'm on a home network and my Xfinity stream is only showing tv go channels. I'm unable to watch local news or sports. I've been using the app for 2 weeks with no problems until now.
I'm using a Fire Tv.

After an hour with Xfinity support online, I get this..
"Thank you for letting me know. When looking into the channel line up and option to stream the channels. When researching more I'm finding that AT&T SportNet southwest and Bally sports are currently unavailable to stream at this time. I'm not showing why they have made it that way at, but that is the detail of the channel that I have found. This would be the reason that you are having the trouble streaming the game on the device but can watch the game on the box, and all the other channel work. I hope this help. Are there any question about this information or about your services?"
I asked if there was a change or is this an outtage.. 10 minutes later and still nothing.
Per their own support article, if you're on your home xfinity network, you can stream all your subscribed channels.

I'm having the same problem when attempting to watch channels I subscribe to from a PC browser on my home network; something I do daily up until yesterday (in home, on my Xfinity WiFi network, no VPN).
Only TV GO channels are listed in the channel listings, even when I select "All channels" or my "Favorite channels". If I use the "Browse" drop-down and select sports, and scroll to my home MLB team playing now on ATT Sports Net, no content plays, only "spinner" dots (...).
I've tried Firefox and Chrome, both have the same problem, even after signing out and back in and after rebooting. The Xfinity Stream app on my iPhone...same thing. The only way to watch channels I've subscribed to in-home, is to steal the remote from my wife and watch it on the cable box.
Based on these symptoms, its pretty obvious this problem is with Xfinity systems and not at the end-user.
I called comcast tech support and they had nothing in their system relating to this problem (not a known issue) despite the users having posted about this glitch here in this forum. The agent escalated the issue to another team within Comcast and they said they'd contact me if its resolved or if they need to cal me back to continue trouble shooting.
Waiting. (I sure wish I could watch baseball rather than Housewives)

Only TVgo on my kindle fire tablet. Deleted app and reinstalled. Still getting only TVgo

Tech support called me back and said this is a known issue for all streaming devices (phones, tablets, computers and also includes the Xfinity Stream app). This is a large-scale outage effecting the Houston, Chicago, Florida and greater Southeast US Comcast markets. It started July 4 and gradually began to spread. (From an IT perspective, if this glitch started 3 days ago...and spread...and they still don't have it fixed...tells me its bad. IT systems engineers lose jobs over things like this in the the real world.) To be fair, Comcast has issued me a $25 credit.
On a side note, I am unable to watch several live sports channels on my set-top box - everything is very pixelated. They say they'll send a reset signal...we'll see. A little converter box that allows SD channels works for the sports channels (AT&T Sportsnet on 39) but the HD stations like 639 on the other boxes is not working. I don't know if this is a separate issue or not.

At the moment, we are having some ongoing issues with streaming on the app through different devices. Do you happen to have a cable box? If so, I would recommend watching the channels through your box for the time being until things are resolved.

I see that this has been going on for months now and I still do not have all the streaming channels avail for live TV. 2 months is a long time for this to still be an on going things.

Same problem in northwest Indiana. Started 11/24/2022. I am not going to go through a bunch of gyrations on my end as it drives me crazy. Just fix the [Edited: "Language"] problem so I can watch the programs I paid for. Need big $$$ credit for this problem as you charge me big $$$ for a service that is not working. FIX THE PROBLEM AND GIVE ME $$$ FOR MY STRESS AND LACK OF SERVICE.

Xfinity stream and app are only showing GO channels, even when using home Wi-Fi network. Thus, we’re not able to record on DVR or access many channels available to us by using computer, iPhone, or iPad. Only full access is through cable box. Customer are not getting the services they’re paying for. Get the issues resolved or we’re canceling our service.

Xfinity stream app is only showing TVTOGO channels, even when using home Wi-Fi network - Michigan. Called it in and said it would be fixed within 24 hours. It was, then later same day went back to only TVTOGO.

From September to December for
the past 3 years. I've been having the same issue. You can call or
speak to all the techs at Comcast. It won't resolve the issue. Every year after 4-5 tech, one tech will take the initiative and restart my account if I were a new customer to reset the your acct features. For some reason the xfinity acct reset itself thinking you have only mobile features only. All my live tv features go from over 200+ channels that would say numbers with hd channels to 85 and only say tv go. I don't even want to talk
about the roku stick. No live tv available only features that works that's already featured on the app. So I believe when xfinity do their annual maintenance they updates messes with packages feature or setting on these apps. Yes when Ive login it says 200+ channel with sport package but when I'm on the roku stick that's connected to my tv or mobile app on phone the features are gone until one brave tech decides to reset your acct. it's sad and very disappointing that I'm watching thanksgiving football and your xfinity streams apps on the roku stick resets itself. I don't believe I can take this [Edited: "Language"] anymore
