Xfinity stream on roku stopped working

For the past 2 days xfinity stream on roku doesn't work, just clocks. Every once in a while the channel will pop up for a couple seconds then goes back to clocking. App works OK on other devices.

I tried removing/reinstalling the app, refreshing my wifi connection, rebooting roku, no luck.

Any suggestions????

I notice the app is xfinity stream now and no longer beta.

does a smart phone/tablet work properly at the same location (from behind the TV? is your roku a stick or has a small box to receive WiFi easier?

Yes, my phoone and laptop both work in the same location as the roku. when I run the network check on roku it has excellent signal strength. It's within 30ft of the modem.

I'm using the roku 'black box', not the stick.

go to xfinity.com and sign in. go to accounts, then users. create a new user and use that username/password to sign in on the Roku device.  working?

I don't see a way to login as a different user on Roku.

I can sign out of xfinity stream. when I login it gives a 6 digit code. I go to xfinity.com/authorize, enter the code and I'm logged in.

Hello @stevec3,

We are sorry that you have experienced these recurring failures these past two weeks.

We opened an investigation to figure out why this was occurring and found a surprising number of TVAPP-00231 errors - which is a buffering failure usually indicated by poor network connection. However, given the connection strength to your Roku, this may not have been the case for you.

We have recently made some improvements to our Roku App and player platforms that may have alleviated your issues. Our logs indicate that you have not seen any further buffering failures. Please let us know if that is the case or if you need further assistance!
