Xfinity Stream on Roku stopped working TVAPP-00101

I have been using the Xfinity stream app on my Roku device for years without a problem.   When I tried using it today, it says "This device can only access Xfinity Stream on your in-home Xfinity WiFi."   Error TVAPP-00101.

I've confirmed that the Roku box is using my home WiFi connection.   I've rebooted the Roku, logged out of the Xfinity Stream App and logged back in, removed the Xfinity Stream App and added it back to the Roku, and rebooted my modem.   None of these steps fixed the issue.   

Streaming does work from my PC on the same WiFi network.    

When I called the Xfinity support phone number, there was an automated message that there had recently been "upgrades" in my area and I should reboot the modem if I'm having problems.   I also spoke to a representative that said my modem is provisioned correctly.   I did see in some other articles online that an incorrectly provisioned modem can cause this problem.   Can that be double-checked somehow?

The Roku is the primary way I watch Xfinity streaming, so it's obviously frustrating to have it suddenly stop working.

Same problem. Same resets and xfinity stream does not work since yesterday.

Mine worked fine yesterday , came home from work and Xfinity wouldn’t load on Roku.

Mine worked fine yesterday morning. Last night Xfinity wouldn’t load on Roku and still won’t this morning.

I am having the exact same issue.  This morning Rokus stopped streaming Xfinity.  Rebooted Roku several times, checked for updates and all the stuff everyone else tried.  Something is wrong with Roku and Xfinity streaming.  No news or weather this morning :(

I just got off of the phone with xfinity support, they confirmed that this is a nationwide issue and that they are working on trying to resolve it.  They could not give me a timeframe for them to fix this issue.

You can add me to the list. This AM  11/2/23 ,  xfinity would not stream on my ROKU sticks.  Powered off the roku and restarted it, uninstalled the xfinity app and re installed it logged in same problem.

I select XFINTY from the menu

Get the initializing screen

Then at that point ,where I would get the program menu, the roku flips back the it's main menu.

Unfortunately Xfinity is the only game in town.

Add me to the list. Based on everyone is having the exact same problem, this is obviously an Xfinity issue. Xfinity this would be the time to advise your customers on what is wrong, what you are doing to correct and when this will be solved!!

Xfinity app works fine on Amazon Fire. It’s just Xfinity with Roku. FYI

I just tried to connect to Xfinity and it appears to be working now.... you may want to try to connect.
