Xfinity Stream not working on laptop, phone or tv

I have a Samsung TV, I read that the issue is the firmware between the Xfinity stream app and the TV. Check. Tried casting to the TV, Xfinity App on the apple won't work. Casting app for Android is $30, not paying that to do something that should be for free. Tried to get it on my Dell laptop that is 3 months old, can't find anywhere to cast to the TV. Tried running on my laptop, got the TVAPP0281 error. 

This is frustrating. Seems like the only thing that works is the TV with the Box. So, if you really want it to work only use it on a TV with a box attached? More money and I'm paying for the convenience of having it everywhere when I travel. 

Anyone have a solution that works? And no, I'm not interested in starting a peer to peer message with Xfinity, support was useless other than a credit. I'd like to know if all the other users with the same issues had their problem solved by the peer to peer and if you did, post it so the rest of us can fix it.
