Xfinity stream not casting

Trying to cast from my iPhone to my tv, My app says casting to my device, and my device or tv says Xfinity stream ready to cast, but nothing happens.  All other apps work fine.

I am having the same issue.. I have deleted the app on my phone and reinstalled cleared the history and I have reset the tv to factory settings logged off and back on to wifi. Reset the router etc with no luck.

Reset your chromecast.  That worked for me.

I reset my chrome cast, removed my Xfinity stream app, and still keep getting the same thing. Please help

Hi there @ user_1c16f0! Here is what I found online.
How do I clear data from my Vizio TV?
  1. Press the MENU button on the remote.
  2. Highlight System then Reset & Admin then Clear Memory.
  3. Use the Arrow buttons on the remote to highlight CLEAR MEMORY/FACTORY DEFAULTS or Reset TV to Factory Defaults and press the OK b

I no longer work for Comcast.

I’ve done all this multiple times. Reset factory settings, uninstalled/reinstalled app, cleared viewing data, reboot TV — nothing works. iPhone and newer Vizio smart TV. Please fix this now.

I gave up and bought a Roku express 4K. It is awesome! Way better and faster than Chromecast and only $29.

Same issue with Chromecast,  been this way since last week.

Restarted, factory reset, cleared cache and data, IOS and Android.  No fix so far.  Will be following this thread for a fix. 

Just get stuck on ready to cast.

Same exact problem "Media not Selected" and it wont cast video to Chromecast.  I called Xfinity and Chromecast and spent hours trying to get it working to no avail.  As you can see from the posts above this is clearly an Xfinity issue and we are all getting frustrated. Xfinity....hello.....are you listening??  I guess we are on our own here so if anyone finds a solution please let us know!

Was having same issue for past 2 days with Hisense TV.  Everything else except for xfinity were casing fine. Went into 'settings' 'apps' system apps and and cleared everything from the chromecast app, disabled it , enabled it, unplugged tv for 20 seconds and let it restart. Now it works with xfinity too.

Same issue as everyone else. Volume works & same message about media. I’m trying to cast Xfinity Stream from iPhone to Chromecast. All other apps work.

Not sure why, but as of today my Xfinity app works with my tv, I have not made any changes, reset or updated anything.

Yes. Problem fixed. Zero notification nor acknowledgment from Xfinity, but we did it!! The casting issue is fixed on my tv. This community did an excellent job!!
