Xfinity stream never resumes my shows

This is driving me insane. I got rid of the box bc it was a recommendation to help me lower my cable costs, and I’m trying to utilize the app and if I stop a show for longer than 10-15 min, or exit and come back - I have to fast forward back to where I was in the program and I hate it. How do you fix that? Thank you!
