Xfinity Stream doesn't recognize my id and password

Xfinity.com recognizes id and password but my new ipad doesn't. Can't log into Xfinity Stream but I can log in using web browser. Also Stream option to log in with other means in inactive.

I'm sorry to hear you are having troubles with the Stream app on your new iPad, but we look forward to helping you get this figured out so you can enjoy the app there too!

 

I do have a few quick questions to help give us a better idea of the situation.

 

Is it just the Stream app on your iPad or do you have login issues with the My Account app as well on that iPad? 

 

Do you happen to have any other mobile devices that you use the Stream app with such as a smartphone? If so, do they have trouble with the app as well?

 

Can you also tell us what troubleshooting steps you've already taken such as re-installing the app and checking to make sure there aren't any iPad or Stream app updates that need to be done?

Interestingly I was having multiple problems with various Comcast sign-ins. Turns out - the fix was very non-intuitive. Some of the sign-in pages seemed distorted. I found an answer somewhere on-line that suggested making sure JavaScript was enabled in Safari. Even though I use Chrome as my browser, Chrome doesn't seem to allow JavaScript. But, activating JavaScript in Safari solved the problem!
