xfinity stream beta app
I purchased a Samsung smart TV specifically so that I could get the xfinity stream beta app for it. I have the same TVs in both of my kids' rooms and they use the app. When I bought this TV and tried to install the app, it doesn't even come up as available. Samsung has told me that this is an issue with the carrier, not Samsung.

if the TV is able to connect to your own wifi SSID (not the xfinitywifi SSID) and the TV's firmware/software has been updated until no more updates are available, and the app does not show on the Samsung smart app store then it is a Samsung issue. you can use a modern firestick/roku device to test.

Hi @mknight1! Welcome to the Xfinity Forum, and thank you for sharing your experience. I wanted to check in with you to see if you have connected the Smart TV to WiFi to ensure you have the most recent update? If so, can you please follow this link (Activate the Xfinity Stream Beta App on LG and Samsung Smart TVs) to ensure you are taking the correct steps to download and activate the app on your Samsung Smart TV? As mentioned in that article, you'll need to create a Samsung account and link it to your compatible Smart TV before downloading the Xfinity Stream Beta app. For detailed instructions on creating an account and linking a Samsung device, follow this link.
Did that help?

I'd like to know when Xfinity is going to update the Xfinity Stream app and take it out of "Beta". This has been in "Beta" longer than any application I have ever used and continues to be unreliable. It routinely stutters, hangs, and requires the user to completely exit the application and reload it to return to stable streaming. Every time I have mentioned this to Xfinity they respond with upgrading the internet speed. Really? I now have 400mb/s and it still can't handle it, despite every other streaming service I have, (ie: Apple, Netflix, Hulu, and Discovery) not having any issues whatsoever. Xfinity surely has enough user data by now to understand it's limitations and quirks. So, when will it be updated to be more reliable and "general release"?
It's T-minus 45 days and then Xfinity loses a customer.
