Xfinity Stream App

Hello Xfinity team! I’ve recently run into this Xfinity stream app issue. Started July 13 or 14. First noticed the app would just hang on the purple loading screen. Never resolved. The next day, after allowing the app to hang on load screen it finally resolved to the ‘sign in’ screen. I click sign in and I land on the sign in screen BUT no QR code, no numeric code and no URL provided to activate on mobile. 

Details:

-Samsung Smart TV QLED 8 series.

- Modem Netgear CM 2000

-Router Netgear Orbi RB850

Troubleshooting attempts:

-Quit/Restart app

-Reset TV Internet connection 

-Delete app/Reset internet connection/ Reset TV. Reconnect tv internet connection/reinstall Xfinity Stream App.

 
Nothing works.  

-ALL other non-Xfinity Streaming apps work on series 8 TV as expected.

-Xfinity stream app is working without issues on iOS devices and Samsung Series 7 TV in different room all on same Wi-Fi network.

Prior to this we’ve not had an issue with this TV or Xfinity App since 2020, when we purchased the TV.

Any support or guidance would be fantastic!

I've had this same issue on a Samsung TV for 7 days now.  What is the fix?

Talked this through with support and I needed to reboot my router and modem.  After doing this, the QR code and numerical code showed up.

Same issue here.

Typical Xfinity customer service, no response, no solutions. But expect us to continue paying higher rates for the same [Edited: Language].

Hello, @user_64c18f. We’re aware of an issue affecting some customers’ Xfinity Stream service and are working to restore service as quickly as possible. For now, you should be able to stream content you subscribe to directly through the providers’ apps. Or you can watch content you’ve already downloaded. Since this post have you regained access to your program in Xfinity Stream?

@user_406795 Have tried any additional troubleshooting? Have you checked the system requirements as I know the Xfinity Stream app is no longer available on 2017 Samsung and LG smart TVs. Here is that link;https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/activating-xfinity-stream-smarttvs. 

How many TVs are affected?

Same issue here and of course Xfinity is not doing anything or answering any of these posts. Looks like it's time to cancel my service. Xfinity does not give a shit about their customers.

Same here. Was working then just dropped. Went to go back in and it just spun. Reinstalled app, now I can't sign in because there is no qr or digital code. Has got to be an outage with the app because everything else in the house and on this TV is working.
