XFINITY STREAM APP VIDEO FREEZES

I keep having issues with my XFINITY STREAM APP video freezes but audio is fine on my Fire Cube TV Gen 3 connected to my LG 48C2 TV.  I have done all the basic troubleshooting (tried all HDMI ports, replaced the HDMI cables, uninstalled + reinstalled the XFINITY STREAM app, updated all firmware, etc.). I even tried my ROKU 4k stick and the app worked fine.

Is this XFINITY STREAM APP not compatible with the GEN 3 Fire Cube TV?
