Xfinity stream app says connection error on Amazon Fire tablet

I have an Amazon Fire HD 10. When I try to sign into the xfinity stream app it says “connection error … please check your connections and try again”. I am connected to my WiFi. All my other apps work, including ones where I sign in with my xfinity account. I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times. It still comes back to the same message. I restarted the tablet several times and disconnected and reconnected to my WiFi several times. I reset the WiFi connections as well. Same message every time. Please help. I am frustrated
