Xfinity stream app on Lg tv
I have the xfinity stream app installed on an LG 43lm57 which is supported per the docs. The LG firmware is upgraded to most recent version. When I use it the app hangs at the splash screen which says xfinity stream beta. The tv is connected to an wireless access point behind a 3rd party firewall which is connected to a xfinity approved third party modem. If I plug the tv into the modem, The app starts, I can register the app, and watch videos. I have looked at the access logs in the firewall and can find no traffic being denied by the firewall. Looking at the streaming app docs, it says a 3rd party modem is supported but makes no mention of support for intermediate network devices and/or the firewall ports required for it to work. Does anyone have any advice On troubleshooting steps to figure this out and getting it to work?

I moved your post to the stream app area of the forum. let the TV connect directly to your router to fix the problem. the app must be able to verify the connection is on your own home internet (wifi or wired) to operate. This is the normal operation of the app as it can't verify connection.
