xfinity stream app missing local tv

Hi, I have used the old xfinity beta app for a few years to watch local channels on a Roku TV.  Since they upgraded to the "xfinity stream" app, all local channels are gone from the available live tv section.  I can find them on the phone app listed as "tvgo" and it will stream them but they do not show up on the Roku app.

What changed?  If I can't get my local channels I don't need the service.

Hello, @user_f41787. I am sorry that you were not able to access the local channels to watch the games. The issue with missing channels is a known issue that is being worked on by our Engineers. We have been having some success sending an Entitlement signal as a temporary fix. Is this issue still affecting you? If it is, we can get a signal over your equipment to see if that helps.

Having the same problem in Florida.  I talked with support last night and seems like it’s Xfinity problem.  The problem is still not resolved.  I’m switching to something mor reliable, like Hulu.

This started happening to me yesterday (Thanksgiving - probably one of the worst days to get customer support.  I figured it would be working today.  I lost most channels on Fire Stick app, android tablet, and through Xfinity.net so I know it is not a problem on my end.  I also can not see any new recordings on my DVR - only recordings from Wednesday or earlier. I found the same complaints on a Reddit thread starting yesterday.  This seems pretty widespread.  Is there a fix coming or do each of us need to reach out to CS ourselves?

@brianlb1 When I woke up this morning, I noticed my internet was out.  About an hour later, my internet was working again and I noticed that my channels were all back.  One interesting thing is none of the programs that I recorded on my DVR over the past 2 days are visible in the Streaming app.  I assume this is because they didn't get recorded on the cloud - only on my local drive.
