Xfinity stream app failing

I have been using the stream app for sone time and now when I start the app, I get the message after entering the access code, I receive a "Welcome!
This device can only access Xfinity Stream on your in-home Xfinity network. Use the app on your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to watch on the go, any time you like." And there's an "Exit App" button at the bottom. This Samsing TV is and has been attached to my home wifi. Nothing has changed. Why isn't there an official response to this issue? It seems very common according to this forum.

did you try unplugging the gateway/router from all power for 3 minutes and then plug back in?
