Xfinity Stream App Error TVAPP-00100 on Samsung Smart TV

When trying to authenticate the Xfinity Stream App on my Samsung Smart TV, I receive the error TVAPP-00100.  What does this error mean, and how might I resolve the problem?

I confirmed that my TV is a compatible model.

was there a text to go along with that number? (error message)

The text of the error message is quite generic and non-descriptive.  The precise message is, 

"Sorry, something went wrong
Please try again"

Attempting to try again yields no success.

Thank you for posting your question in the Xfinity Forum. I tried searching a cause for the error you're receiving and was not able to locate one. I'd like to do some additional troubleshooting to help get this resolved. Can you please send me a private message with your first and last name (and the name of the account holder if different than yours) and the username you are using to login to the app?

When attempting to login in, at what point do you get this error? When accessing this websitethis website, after choosing your university, is this when you get the error?

I too am having the same issue. The error message appears after signing into my university’s login portal with my credentials.
