Xfinity Stream app error requiring upgrade/subscription. Roku, Android, Browser

This morning the xfinity Stream app on all my Roku devices and tablets will not stream anything other than the major local networks.  Every other channel says a subscription is required and an upgrade is needed.  Tried to stream from a web browser but that does not work either.  I spent over an hour chatting with an agent restarting, reinstalling, reauthorizing everywhere.  Nothing has worked.  Very frustrated to pay for services that I can not use.

I use to get this like once a week and one time a couple times in a few days. Its been fixed for a long time now knock on wood.

Here is what needs to be done to fix it. Sorry but you will have to call tech support...sorry.

What they need to do is send a reinitialization signal to your modem. Simple reboots will not do it. Sometimes the update they send thru the network at roughly 12:15 AM EST will also fix it..SOMETIMES.

Basically the modem becomes unauthorized or something Luke it and so you get none of the subscriptions stations but your internet will still work fine. It effects all the internet Xfinity Beta App be it roku android apple etc. On some you may get a few stations or none at all. You might be able to get to hard saved shows but nothing else.

But the answer is tech support and a reinitialization by them to your modem. Unfortunately you will have to jump thru the normal script questions for 10 mins first. Unless you get a US located rep. Then they will just do it. Difference in paying non English speaking person from Asia India etc $1.50/hr vs 20/hr US citizen. I honestly feel bad for those foreigners as they are put in an impossible situation. Its Comcast's fault

I just spoke with an app specialist from xfinity. He explained there was a National outage that has impacted many. Their engineers are working on the issue. He also pointed out that if I attempted to record the channels that are missing from my app on my regular cable box I would get an error... he was right. I hope they get this resolved soon. If you call support... maybe give them this outage number so you can get notified when it’s fixed SI046704485.

This is definitely not a modem or cable box problem. Yeah, apparently Xfinity has a broad issue with services around the Stream app on all platforms. Roku, android, iOS, web, etc. Application servers are not corectly authenticating available services/channels on an account.  Not only can you not record anything new, but anything previously scheduled will no longer record either. Extremely annoying. It's been almost two days!

OK that is something different or its a much wider spread effect of the same issue I was having.

Your symptoms and message are the same as I had. Maybe a different cause to the authentication issue but its basically the same issue at the user device end.

They have lots of bad coding and corruption on their network. Take their nightly push update around 12AM. On the newer DOCS 3.1 Modems such as the top of the line ARRIS models. If they have a update for the modem many tines as it tries to force a power cycle it locks up the modem and you loose all internet service. You have to manually go power cycle the modem. I am stuck doing that anywhere from once to a few tines per week everyone between 12:15 and 12:30AM no other time. The escalated tech rep said it was something mid config or corrupted on the push update. It has gotten better over the months but still happens once a week. The modem is straight off their list of recommended compatible modems as their own modem would not give me anywhere near my 1gb speed I am paying for. It was actually less than before I upgraded from 600mbs service LOL and a rental fee takes on to boot..no thank you

Power cycling the modem thru xfinitys webportal works fine. It's specific to error or corruption of the update push.

It looks like full Xfinity Stream services are slowly being restored.  All TV channels for my package are now available in the Stream app on Roku, Android and web.  Scheduled recordings are possible.  Previously scheduled recording are nearly all back.  Progress.  We are getting closer to full resolution of the issue.

Having the same issue on Apple TV, specifically with NBCsports and ESPN. The NBCSports issue began this weekend but the ESPN app has been locked out "you are not subscribed to this channel contact your provider" for over a month. I don't use ESPN much so I did not follow up, but now that it is happening with multiple apps it is concerning.

Tried uninstalling the app, resetting Apple tv, and reinstalling and logging in again. I get about 30 minutes of feed before the "you are not subscribed..." message pops up again. I do not think we are over our limit of streams (6), but if that is the case there is no clear way to fix it. Will go through some of the troubleshooting and tech service I see recommended here, I do not have faith that xfinity is aware of the issue and are working on a fix.

This same problem starting happening earlier this week for me. Spoke with an agent online Friday night who sent a reinitialization signal and started working Friday night...now, it's back to not working again Saturday night...I can't watch any stations via the Stream App or on my laptop...says "subscribe" when I go to any channel.

Also having issues with DVR via the set top box...can't record shows on channels and my series are now no longer recording future episodes.
