Xfinity Steam No Longer Chromecasts from iPhone to TV

Beginning a few days ago, Xfinity Stream no longer Chromecasts from my iPhone to my TV. Other apps continue to cast well. Is this Xfinity’s issue or is there a fix on my end?

Hello @user_3e0a46. If you are still having problems casting the stream app to your tv I would like to get more information about what you are seeing/not seeing in the app. Do you see the casting icon in the stream app?

Yes, I still have this streaming issue and yes, there is a Chromecast icon on the app.

I have version 7.5.1.2400. Is that up to date?

Thank you but this article does not solve my issue. I have a Vizio TV. Up until a few days ago, casting with Xfinity Stream worked perfectly. Now it doesn’t. The TV, the app, and my iPhone are running their newest updates.

When I connect my iPhone to the TV by pressing the casting icon through the Xfinity Streamcast app, the connection begins but then suddenly cuts off. Sometime this happens right away sometimes this happens 5 seconds after the program is showing on the TV.

Have you already had the chance to uninstall and re-install the stream app?

Yes, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I’ll add that we have three iPhones in the house (3 people) with the Stream app installed. All three have this issue with our TV. Other apps stream fine, Xfinity doesn’t.

I was on the phone with Xfinity all day yesterday with the exact same issue.  I have yet to get a resolution.
