Xfinity beta on Roku streaming issues on HD channels

Just this past day or 2 every time I try to stream HD specific channels through my Roku with the Xfinity beta , the channels are choppy , like the frames are slow. SD channels are fine. I also can stream HD fine on Netflix , Hulu, and Prime just fine. This seems limited to just the Xfinity beta channel. I had reset my internet connection and the Roku just go make sure it wasn’t an internet connection. Still the frames are choppy and slow again only on HD programming

Just restarted everything again and yet this is still an issue. Just watched an HD movie on Netflix and zero problems. It’s def with Comcast because the SD channels are fine too

Watching this topic because I too have the same issue. But, only with the Roku Ultra 4K set top and my Samsung TV 65". Weird thing is, on my TCL tv - that come with Roku built in - the Beta app works fine.

I have a Vizeo that I’m running the Roku 4K stick on but the software for the Roku and Vizeo are both up to date. I only run one tv and if the HD Xfinity service doesn’t work right then I don’t really see the point of keeping it. So hope they look into this issue

I think I found the issue. I believe it's got something to do with the Auto-Refresh Roku has set. Go to Settings > System > Advanced System Settings > Advanced Display Settings and Disable the 'Auto-Adjust Display Refresh Rate'. My guess..is there's a conflict with Roku and possibly your Smart TV, which may also have an Auto-Refresh running.

I did try that and so far that does work. However strange I never had that problem before. I’ll keep an eye on it for the next few days to see if that helps

Glad it worked. I never had that problem before either and it's only with one TV. I have 8 Roku streaming devices/TV's..and this is the only one where I had to disable that option. Again..just wonder if there's conflict with my Samsung picture refresh and Roku trying to do the same thing.

This seems to have fixed my issues.  Either there was a system update on the roku's (most likley) that turned the setting on or all our smart TV's updated some way which did not work with the setting anymore.  Thanks for the fix though!
