Xfinity app on Roku

The app opens and then takes me to main screen but then closes and goes back to Roku Home Screen. Deleted and reinstalled twice. Still same issue.

My two TCL Roku TVs just upgraded and now the Xfinity app gets kicked off just before it shows live tv line up.  All other tvs with Roku sticks work.  Tried resetting tv uninstall app and all.  Still no help on either tv.

Yesterday, 11/1/23, the xfinity stream app on all my Rokus loaded and then closed. My rokus go back to the roku home screen. I click the app again, same thing. I've remover the app re-installed and signed in again, same problem. Xfinity loads and closes, Roku goes back to roku home screen.

@user_v5hf1s Thank you for reaching out. I am sorry to hear your Rokus are not working at this time. I want to make sure we are respecting your time and not repeat the steps you have taken previously. What troubleshooting steps have you taken? Is your Roku up to date? I would start by rebooting your modem. Ensure that Roku is linked to the same network as your Xfinity device. Once confirm can you reset your Roku account credentials and re-login.

We have tried to update the app…all up to date. The Xfinity app appears to load and then kicks you out to the Home Screen. Other streaming apps work as they should.

My Xfinity stream app opens and closes quickly.  I removed the app and reinstalled and still nothing.  I saw in one of the threads below that Xfinity says it is Roku-related.  If that were the case, nothing on Roku would work, that's just an easy out for Xfinity.  No customer service there any more.

Agreed. Everything else works fine on Roku. Just xfinity. Also guide does not load on Fire Stick. It does work on PC browser. And forget about talking to anything but stupid bots that talk in circles.

I have Roku tv and a Roku on my other tv and the app loads and then disconnects on both. I am connecting to Wi-Fi I’ve tried all the suggestions.

Same issue that started on 11/1/23. Clicking on Xfinity Stream app and it attempts and then returns to home screen. No error code. Device and software up to date.

I have a fire stick and a Roku. I am not having any issues launching Xfinity on my fire stick, but it crashes as soon as I open it on the Roku.

I can definitely understand the frustration, can you please uninstall the app, check that the Roku device is fully updated and then re-install the app and try again? If that still doesn't work let me know what the make/model of your Roku device is.

Same issue here in CO at 5:30a. Happens on my other rokus which inc Roku TVs and sticks. I first checked for updates which it did saying finishing final updates. Still no joy. Uninstalled and reinstalled which made me resign in and still nothing. Works fine on my Android phone. It obviously and update from Xfinity mine says 6.14 build 0 so it's the first version on this. I also noticed the app icon no longer shows beta. Great first effort for non beta version. :(

I see customers have contacted both xfinity & roku

It's working fine on my tv

I believe xfinity just does not want the app streamed because they'll get more money when the box is purchased. 

Personally this was the sign/issue I needed to cancel them because it's too high anyway. Paying a carnote for cable is ridiculous.
