Xfinity App is not streaming on ROKU device despite following all troubleshoot instructions.

  1. Removed xfinity app from Roku TV.
  2. Restarted the roku TV using restart feature (also tried turning device off/on).
  3. Added xfinity app back, relogged in
  4. Checked for Roku system updates, system is already up to date
  5. Cleared cache and data on roku device by resetting network connection
  6. Checked internet connection, confirmed other apps are working/streaming successfully.

It worked last weekend for a day. I didn’t make any changes to get it to work. I just keep trying hoping it would work. I even have trouble trying to stream directly through the Xfinity website in my computer. The only thing that seems to be okay is my iPad or iPhone so not sure if the app works better with the iOS operating system. Either way the service was great until about 2 months ago.

user_bh0l56 Thanks for reaching out about the issue with your Roku not working while connected to your service with us. To confirm is the Roku having issue with streaming anything, or is it having issue with our Xfinity Stream app?

I am having the same issues with multiple Rokus, different models as well.  I have removed the app, reinstalled, reset the network, factory defaulted the Rokus. The only solution I can find is that I have to reboot the Rokus every time I want to use xfinity stream.  The app just doesn’t start up otherwise.  It just spins and times out.  I can reboot it and get right in.   Once I am in, it works fine.   No issues with any other apps on the Rokus.  No issues getting in on iPhones/tablets.  It’s been an ongoing issue for weeks and has progressed to the point that I have to reboot the Rokus just to get in.

What is the resolution here?   Same issue.  Seems like an Xfinity issue because everything else works on Roku TV.  Please advise error 00016

Hi user_3ef60f! Thanks for reaching out on our Forum, letting us know that you are also getting an error code when watching the Stream app on your Roku. I certainly understand the importance of getting this fixed, and we do apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this has caused.

For troubleshooting purposes, are you getting this error or running into any issues when accessing the Xfinity Stream app on a mobile device (mobile phone, laptop, etc.)?

Hi! Has anyone been able to find a solution for this? I see multiple comments from official Xfinity channels asking the same question over and over but no real solutions so far.

For a lot of us, there are no error messages. The Xfinity stream app on Roku (ultra in my case), loads up the app but no channel images or previews. Upon picking a channel from the menu, it doesn’t stream and after a period of time, it throws up the “something went wrong…” message.

Other streaming apps such as Netflix, Prime, Hulu and Max are working fine.

Have there been recent updates to the app (last month or so?) and are we able to roll them back? Thanks!

same issue as well... I get the message "We had trouble signing you into the app.  Please try again later."  well I have been trying for days. in the lower right corner I have the following "(Error: TVAPP-00100)"

We have been streaming Xfinity on this roku for almost 3 years and all of a sudden it stopped working.  The last software update was in 2022 and when I check it replies that it is all up to date so it does not appear that an update was pushed recently to have caused this.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck

App not working.  This seems to be a common issue.  Cleared cache, restarted TV, uninstalled and reinstalled app.  No dice.  Maybe ya'll should fix it instead of gaslighting people, as this has been a problem since it's inception. You should fix it or get out of the streaming game.
