when is the UI going to improve?

It works like an o80's cable interface. clunky, reundant and out of date. Recording options are limited and primitive, often out of sync, and why is there no "last channel viewed" option for liveTV?

Hi user_q987jx, thank you for taking some time out of your day to share your feedback here on our Forum. I'd love to help find some solutions to your concerns, but I'd first like to make sure we're on the same page. When you limited recording options, are you able to elaborate? Is there a missing feature or a feature that's not functioning as it should? With your TV box remote, there should be a back button that would allow you to jump back to the last channel viewed on live tv. Are you able to confirm what type of remote you're using?

Well YoutubeTV allows unlimited storage, Xfinity does not. YoutubeTV defaults to HD channels, Xfinity does not uless it is a series recording. YoutubeTV default recording extends programs ( like sports) it programming goes long. Xfinity does aways record favorite teams even when it is set up to do so.  super frustrating.

I've tried Xfinity, FubuTV, Hulu, and DirectTV live TV streaming apps for FireTV platform and YoutubeTV is clearly the most refined UI build. IMO just copy them and you make a huge leap forward.

 Thanks for listening

ok, here's another one. why does it randomly ignore series series recordings? I have PGA events set as a series recordiing but it will record the first half of a tournament on the Golf Channel but when the broadcast switches to NBC that part doesn't get recorded?

Also, why can i not start playback of a recording in progress? It only allows viewing starting at current time?

Also, why does LiveTV stream freeze on certain commercials?

Al in all, you can tell I am frustrated with the product. Seems like marketing released it before the Dev team was finished...ugh

Here is what I found for you, @user_q987jx

*The issue of series recordings being ignored may occur due to scheduling conflicts. If a program is scheduled in the same time slot as two previously scheduled series recordings, the DVR may prioritize the higher priority program, leading to the lower priority recording being missed.

*You can only stream an in-progress recording on your in-home Xfinity network, and is not available for playback outside your network.

*The LiveTV stream may freeze on certain commercials, particularly if you fast-forward or rewind at the highest speed (4X) to the beginning or end of the live TV buffer.

If Comcast is serious about streaming, they need to update the Stream app to work like DIRECTV’s Stream app. When viewing the guide, the current channel needs to stay on in the background, preferably in a window. Allow swipes to the right or left to scroll through channels. Allow switch to last channel.
