Using Roku with Xfinity Streaming Beta
Our Triple Play package includes Netflix, Starz and Showtime. However when I installed a Roku Express (w/o voice command) to the tv upstairs, I found that all I could access was the line-by-line Xfinity guide (up and down) BUT not a specific channel using a keypad screen on the Roku. Worse, I was able to manually engage Prime and use that easily but no option to use Netflix, Showcase or Starz without registering as a new customer......Does anyone have any idea how we can at least get these "included" channels to show up as we use it on the downstairs "main" tv?
I may want to upgrade the bedroom Roku with a newer model that includes a voice command feature IF that will alow me to search more easily....
Thanks everyone!

voice roku is great. you can use your smart phone to control the roku using the roku app. if in home, all your channels should be available. if not, test using a smart phone/tablet connected to the same wifi using the same username/password. works same on the phone/tablet?

Hello RustyBen and THANKS!!!
I found out what happened. I had forgotten that I had to still log in to my old Netflix acct online to activate it under the Xfinity paid-for umbrella, using my old login from before Netflix was part of the Xfinity package.
Once I did this, Netflix is active now thru the Roku Express. Not sure how this will work with Starz or Showtime since I never had my own free-standing acct. with them.........
Am I correct that by using my cell phone with the Xfinity Bedta Streaming appl., I can control volume and power on/off of the Roku AND TV?
Thanks for your help!!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
