Unable to watch some channels on Xfinity Stream, I get "Please Connect to Your In-Home WiFi"

Hi,

I am having trouble with watching some channels on Xfinity Stream (for example CBS). When I try to watch it I get the following message

"Please Connect to Your In-Home WiFi"

"Due to licening agreements, some content can only be viewed on your in-home WiFi"

This doesn't happen to channels like CNN. I've tried both using Chrome on Windows 10 and Xfinity App on Android phone, same problem. I've called tech support and the reply I got was since my place's internet and cable are split between me and my roommate, we each have our own account, I pay for cable, and he pays for internet, both accounts have the same address. The solution was to link our accounts, which we did but Xfinity Stream is still not working. Anyone knows anything about how to fix it? Thanks

use the Xfinity my Account app, select internet tab, touch the gateway/modem on the hardware page. compare the shown 'serial number' to your actual gateway/modem's label for HFC MAC address (or similar) to be sure it is exactly the same character by character.

MAC address is a match. Internet works fine, cable (TV) works fine, I only have issue when it comes to watching certain channel or maybe program with Xfinity Stream.

would you try one more thing? unplug the modem's power cable for 3-5 minutes and plug back in. after that check on a smart phone/tablet to see if the channels are then working.
