TVAPP-00800

I have a standalone Roku device connected to a tv via HDMI and with the Xfinity Stream app installed.  The app worked great for the first 5-6 months that I had the Roku.  Then it just stopped.  All the other streaming apps are working fine.  When I open the app, it initializes and then I can click on "recorded".  It thinks for a few seconds and then I get: "Sorry! API Timeout error occurred." "(Error: TVAPP-00800).

One more bit of info, I am able to watch Stream fine on iPad and iPhone while on the same home WIFI.

Thanks for posting on our community forums, jbulick. I'm sorry to hear about the TV app error code you're getting on your Roku device. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Xfinity Stream App?

It looks like it might be a WIFI signal issue.  I removed the Roku, plugged in a Firestick and the Firestick played Xfinity fine.  Then Firestick started to do what it always has done, which is why I bought the Roku, started rebooting every 5-15 minutes.  With the Roku hooked back up, it worked, once.  Then it did not work again with the same error.  Noticed the WIFI signal was reporting as weak.  Rebooted, signal was strong and it worked.  Then the next time I got the error again.  Rebooted and it worked.  It seems the Roku might have a slightly weaker antenna than the Firestick, or mine is slowly failing, as the signal strength starts strong but fades over time.  None of my other devices have this issue.
