TVAPP-00148
I just encountered error code TVAPP-00148 on the Xfinity Stream app on my Samsung TV. Worked fine for prior 6 months. App streams fine on other devices and tvs. Tried turning off/on tv and deleting/installing app on Samsung tv.

Just spent another hour on the phone with Xfinity trying to resolve this issue. They still do not have a fix for the app. And still cannot watch live TV from the xfinity app on a Samsung TV.

Just use AirPlay and the Xfinity app on your phone until these [Edited: Language] have a fix.

Yes but I am not always home and so others in my home can’t watch tv without me. Not to mention it kills my battery. The app worked fine until Thursday Jan 17th 2024.
last time this happened it took someone from a higher level to legitimately fix the app. So disappointed in now it’s been 4 days already.

I spoke to an Xfinity representative yesterday and was informed that this is a known issue and they are working on fixing the issue. Hopefully soon.

What are we at now, 4 days without a resolution? The longer it goes the more I am learning that I likely could live without Xfinity. There are so many channels available on Samsung TV. To be clear all of my TV's are Samsung because I can stream directly. If Xfinity isn't going to sbe able to stream I will end up dropping the service. I'm not paying for a stick or a box when there are plenty of other options.
And yes the biggest complaint is the fact that I spent hours uninstalling and reinstalling with "customer service" instead of someone just simply saying it was a know issue.

I sense a mass exodus from Xfinity coming very soon.

Good luck everyone. I am still facing this issue. That said, you might all want to check the internet speed you are receiving as I found in this process that while I am paying for 1gb service, my modem does not provision at that speed and I am receiving 300mb service. I had a tech come to my house who ran new wires from the pole to my modem which did not resolve the problem. Ultimately, he contacted his tech support and had them provision it at the correct speed, but since the modems update nightly from 2-4am, my modem updated and my speeds are again painfully slow. This is a bait and switch and I will be contacting the FCC with this problem!

I just got off chat with agent was offered a xumo box. This is a free service I would only need the box if I didn’t have a smart tv. I’m not hopeful it will be fixed soon as I asked about this weekends football.

Another workaround is if you have a Roku, you can add the app to your Roku device and watch live TV.

A work around until Xfinity fixes the bug is to Stream on your iPhone and cast to your TV. It’s simple. Xfinity needs to revert to the Beta until the problem is fixed. Terrible issue. 100% Xfinity. Their app should not be accessible to all ITV’s except Sansung.

Just finished talking to Xfinity again, and after 1 week they are NOW aware of the problem and their engineering team is working on the "outage". They do not know when it will be fixed. They are blaming the Samsung update and did not commit to crediting my account until the issue is resolved. They provided another ticket number different than the one I had before. Interesting how they have not provided email or text communication informing of the outage to all users. Not very helpful at all!

why hasn’t Xfinity made a public statement regarding this issue , thousands of people are without live stream if they have a newer Samsung TV , all my hundreds of TV apps work perfectly except Xfinity so who’s at fault ? I don’t know if Xfinity uses an antiquated system or what but everything points to Xfinity
