Time zone is different on Xfinity Streaming app

My house is pacific time zone...but I’m traveling for work on east coast.  The “live” stream channels/shows are showing pacific time zone, which means Good morning America starts at 10am?  Would like to watch the news when I wake up, not 3 hours after I go to work.

Hi, @user_c39477! Thanks for taking the time out of your morning to reach out to XFINITY over our forums page. Safe travels to you! As someone who watches the news every morning, I can understand the concern with wanting to watch the news when waking up. We can help. The live stream channels that are listed with pacific time zones are 3 hours behind the eastern time zones. You are correct. If you are in an eastern time zone, Good Morning America would start at 10 AM EST. However, it is still starting for us still in the pacific time zone at 7 AM PST. Make sense?

Yeah but you have xfinity here in the east coast, right? Why can't we switch to that service? You are just throwing in the towel and saying we have to watch west coast tv wherever we go, even though your customers next door are watching east coast tv? Get on it! Fix it!

@user_f99668, thank you for your feedback. I can appreciate your concern with the time zones, however your Xfinity Streaming service is linked to your residential services, and therefore to your residential address. Your address is stationary, so your services are not designed to change time zones as you travel. All Comcast customers aren't necessarily only able to watch live TV in Pacific time, but if your services are set up in Central, Mountain, or Eastern time zones, your live shows will air at those times even if you are traveling. I hope this helps explain how the Stream app works. We will definitely pass along your feedback - it's a great idea and hopefully something we can implement in the future!
