My husband spends time in California, and uses a tablet to access our Xfinity. Yesterday it told him to change the password, and since I take care of passwords he called me to have me do it. I received a code and changed the password, but now he is unable to access. What to do?

If he has the new password correctly, he should just need to log in using it.
