Streaming freeze

I stream xfinity using the app on my Samsung smart tv. I’m having a problem with watching recordings while they are still recording. The playback freezes every 30 seconds or so, stays frozen for about 10 seconds, then resumes. Super annoying. It happens when I record, say, a football game and start watching a bit after the start but before the game is over. Anyone know how to fix this problem?
