Streaming app doesn't have surround sound? pt#2

There was a previous thread on this marked as "solved" but "We can't figure out how to do this so we deleted the capability" is not a "Solved" answer.  I just switched from DirectTV specifically to get HD and surround sound which DirectTV offers on 100% of it's channels.  It is unacceptable.  My Roku Express decodes 5.1surround when you use google movies or

Showtime apps but when you try to watch the same Showtime show through xfinity express it only presents in stereo.

This is not acceptable.  Is it possible to get a free receiver box until this is "Solved"?

currently the stream app and Roku stream TV beta channel are in 2.0 stereo. any of the X1 set top boxes will give you the audio you stated you want.

As of today, NBC is streaming the Sunday Night game in 5.1 Dolby. This had to be very recent as last week it was still 2.0 only. Makes the experience so much better!
